Sinus Lift

This 34 year old lady came in requesting for bridges to replace her missing teeth. She did not like her dentures which she said interfered with her speech and also made eating difficult.
We discussed bridges as a replacement option and she was informed of the need to cut down the adjacent good teeth. Implants as an alternative were offered to her.
She did not have sufficient bone height due to her large sinuses on both sides of the jaw. Sinus lift bone grafting procedures were necessary. On the right side, the sinus lift was carried out first and the implants placed 5 months later while on the left side, the sinus lift and implants were done simultaneously. This is because the left jaw had sufficient bone for the implant to obtain primary stability while the right side did not.
The treatment took 8 months to complete and she was very happy with the results.
